Racing defeated Real Madrid and will play in the Youth Club World Cup final
The Academy secured a 2-1 victory in the semifinals against one of the favorites and will compete for the title against the winner of Barcelona-Palmeiras
Racing Under-18 delivered a major upset in the brand-new Youth Club World Cup. La Academia defeated Real Madrid 2-1 in the semifinals and qualified for the tournament's grand final, which is being held in Spain.
The Argentine team struck at the right moments and then defended their lead. In the first half, Bautista Pérez opened the scoring with a long-range shot that surprised the opposing goalkeeper after a poor clearance from the Merengue defense.
In the second half, Aquiles Mansilla took advantage of a miscommunication between a defender and the goalkeeper to score into an empty net and make it 2-0.

Although Los Blancos pulled one back near the end through Alejandro Mora, they didn't have enough time to look for the equalizer. Thus, Racing eliminated one of the tournament's top favorites and advanced to the final.
La Academia's path and the grand final
Racing is undoubtedly having a dream Youth Club World Cup. In the group stage, the Argentine team defeated Sevilla 2-1, Corinthians 1-0, and Academia Pogba 4-1.
