Racing was sanctioned by FIFA, but the club assures that it is already solved.
The club posted on its social media to clarify the situation regarding the sanction imposed by the entity presided over by Gianni Infantino
A notification from FIFA surprised Racing this Thursday, informing about a prohibitory sanction due to an outstanding debt since May 2024. However, from the management of the Academia, led by Diego Milito, they dismissed any inconvenience, assuring that the amount has already been paid and that the situation will be regularized in the next few hours.

The prohibition, made official on the website of the world football governing body with the phrase "until it is lifted", is due to a minor amount of 2000 dollars that was not processed in a timely manner due to "operational problems of the clearing house", the payment clearinghouse involved in international financial transactions. Additionally, from the management, they pointed out that the delay in accreditation was due to "problems in foreign payment" of the Central Bank.
The Academia's stance
Through an official statement, Racing explained that the debt originated from a transaction in May of last year and that, although the sanction was recently imposed, the situation "has already been solved". In that sense, they assured they are "awaiting the lifting of the restrictions".
Similar cases have affected other Argentine clubs like Rosario Central, Lanús, and Independiente, which faced delays in international payments due to banking system restrictions.

Meanwhile, Racing continues its preparation for the match against Independiente Rivadavia without worrying about this administrative inconvenience, trusting that FIFA will lift the sanction in the next few hours.
