The Municipality interrupted traffic on the Costanera due to the rising of the Suquía River
The heavy rain that fell this Friday in Córdoba caused serious difficulties in the city.
Street closures, flooding, and accidents were part of the resulting situation due to the accumulated water.
According to the Municipality, a total closure was implemented on Costanera Sur, from the Rotonda del Hombre Urbano to the Sarmiento Bridge due to the heavy rain and strong wind gusts.
Gusts exceeded 37 mph (60 km/h) in some areas, causing fallen branches and reduced visibility on public roads.
Authorities requested that people avoid traveling through the area and refrain from outdoor activities during periods of greater weather intensity.
A chain collision involved four private cars in the Mujer Urbana tunnel in the city of Córdoba, and afterward a police vehicle skidded off the road in the same area.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported and only two officers were taken to Clínica Vélez Sarsfield and the Police Polyclinic for general checkups.
As a result, there were significant traffic delays due to road congestion.
