After a long time without strongly betting on Argentinian stars, Real Madrid seems to have started a change of course. The arrival of Franco Mastantuono marked a turning point in the club's sporting policy and opened the door to a possible Albiceleste wave that could extend until after the 2026 World Cup.
The most advanced case is Nico Paz. The 21-year-old midfielder, today one of the revelations at Como in Serie A and already with appearances for Argentina National Team under Lionel Scaloni, will be brought back by the Casa Blanca through the activation of the buyback clause. Real Madrid will be able to bring him back for just 9 million euros, a minimal amount if one takes into account that his market value climbed to as high as 65 million during the last season.

However, he is not the only Argentinian name on the list. According to Diario AS, the club from the Spanish capital is also closely monitoring Enzo Fernández and Alexis Mac Allister, both world champions in Qatar 2022. The idea is clear: to find top-level replacements for two midfield icons such as Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, a problem that Merengue has not yet managed to solve definitively.
