The first sales phase exceeded all projections and became the highest in demand in the tournament's history
2026 World Cup already generates unprecedented expectations. FIFA confirmed that it received 150 million ticket requests in just 15 days, a record figure in the history of the tournament and 30 times higher than the total capacity available for the matches.
Gianni Infantino celebrated the milestone and emphasized the magnitude of global interest: "The FIFA World Cup 2026 promises to be the biggest and most inclusive spectacle on the planet, with more than 150 million ticket requests received in the first 15 days, which means that this edition has a demand 30 times greater than the ticket supply: a sign of the unbelievable interest that it has sparked among fans from more than 200 countries".

"This overwhelming response from supporters reflects the passion that the world feels for soccer. There is no doubt that we will make history in North America by bringing together people from all over the planet in an unprecedented celebration of unity and top-level soccer", he added.
FIFA stressed that the figure is equivalent to 3.4 times the total number of spectators accumulated in the 22 editions already held since 1930 (964 matches), which illustrates the leap in scale that this World Cup organized by the United States, Mexico, and Canada will have.
This random draw phase, which began on December 11, will run until January 13 and can be managed from the official FIFA website. Once it concludes, the draw that will allocate the first tickets will be held; those who are not successful will have new opportunities in upcoming sales rounds.
