Renault Boreal: all the details about the new SUV arriving in Argentina in 2026
Renault unveils Boreal, its new midsize SUV with a turbo engine, 24 ADAS assistants, and local arrival in 2026
Renault officially unveiled the Boreal, its upcoming midsize SUV that will be manufactured in Brazil and will arrive on the Argentine market in 2026.
This is a strong move by the Rombo to compete with heavyweights like Volkswagen Taos, Jeep Compass, and Ford Territory. The local launch is scheduled for the end of March next year.

What the Renault Boreal's design is like
The Boreal measures 4.56 meters (14 feet 11.6 inches) long and has a wheelbase of 2.70 m (8 feet 10.3 inches). In terms of size and features, it is positioned right at the heart of the C-segment for SUVs.
It stands out for its 19-inch alloy wheels, panoramic roof, body-colored grille with the new Nouvel’R logo, and an original LED light signature. It also adds roof rails and details that reinforce its modern style.
Interior with high-level technology and comfort
The cabin is inspired by the Renault 5 E-Tech and Renault 4 E-Tech electric models. The OpenR dashboard includes two 10-inch horizontal screens for the instrument cluster and multimedia system.

The controls are organized ergonomically, with a compact e-shifter lever and a multifunction steering wheel with backlit metal buttons.
Comfortable and functional seats
The front seats are electric, with position memory and a massage function for the driver. In the rear, the 40/60 split backrest includes a central armrest and the Easy Break system for easy folding.

Rear passengers also have air vents and USB-C ports for greater comfort on long trips.
Renault Boreal's engine, equipment, and technology
The chosen engine is a 1.3 TCe turbo gasoline with direct injection, delivering 156 hp and 270 Nm of torque.

It is paired with a six-speed EDC automatic transmission with a wet dual-clutch. This technology ensures smooth driving, good response, and greater durability thanks to its cooling system.
More safety with intelligent assistants
Thanks to its new platform, the Boreal incorporates up to 24 ADAS systems for driver assistance.
- Lane keeping
- Blind spot detection
- Rear cross-traffic alert
- Automatic emergency braking
- Safe exit assist for occupants
These systems provide greater safety on the road and in the city, aiming to reduce accidents and facilitate everyday maneuvers.
