Design and initial tests: what the new pickup will be like
Renault's future pickup was seen for the first time with its final bodywork during tests in Brazil, a key part of regional development. The images shared by Falando de Carro on Instagram show lines very close to the Niagara Concept and certain aesthetic nods to the Boreal.
Built on the modular RGMP platform, the photographed unit reveals part of the double cab's visual identity. However, the bed remains heavily camouflaged, keeping the final design a secret.
Mechanics: what engine Renault's pickup will have
According to Brazilian media, the future Niagara will feature a 1.3 turbo four-cylinder engine, with 156 hp and 270 Nm of torque. It will be paired with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the same mechanical setup used in the Boreal.

A new chapter for Renault
With tests underway and a presentation scheduled for 2025, the pickup is already beginning to shape the brand's future in a segment where it currently participates with the Oroch.
