Ricardo Centurión is betting on a new beginning in his soccer career. After terminating his contract with Vélez due to repeated disciplinary issues, the 32-year-old winger confirmed his arrival at Oriente Petrolero, a team in Bolivia's First Division.
The talented and controversial footballer seeks to relaunch his career, and from Bolivia, they showed interest in adding him and requested him for the 2025 season, still without an official start. In this context, Oriente Petrolero will play a friendly match this Sunday, March 23, against Blooming.
Many sources indicate that the negotiations are practically closed, with only a few details to define before he signs until December of this year as a free agent, following his controversial departure from Vélez. However, it was Centurión himself who confirmed the news, as he shared the club's crest on his social media and wrote: "Here we go!!!", making clear his imminent arrival at the Bolivian team, which will be his fourth club outside Argentina.

The right winger played a total of 315 matches across 8 clubs (Racing, Genoa, São Paulo, Boca, Atlético San Luis, Vélez, San Lorenzo, and Barracas Central) and scored 46 goals, the last one on April 3, 2022 playing for Ciclón in a 1-1 draw against Atlético Tucumán.
Ricky's last official match was with Barracas Central against Vélez on April 16, 2023, before being removed from the squad by decision of Sergio "Huevo" Rondina. Additionally, in December of that same year, he tested positive for cocaine after attempting to evade a police check.
Months later, he reappeared in an Instagram live, where he had already been seen smoking and consuming alcohol, and mentioned his intention to dedicate himself to streaming, although he ultimately did not carry out the project.
