This fact confirmed in practice what journalist and businessman Javier Negre denounced today after his personal experience trying to buy that same station: the existence of a Russian structure designed to acquire spaces and media in the country, with the objective of promoting an agenda in line with the interests of the Russian government.

In this context, journalist and businessman Javier Negre also revealed today that he detected in 2024 the Russian operation aimed at influencing Argentine media, two years before the issue became public. Through an extensive message on social networks, he assured that he had direct knowledge of these maneuvers

He said that when he arrived in Argentina, he identified systematic corruption in the media and decided to get involved in the sector. In this context, he advanced in the purchase of La Derecha Diario, with the objective of participating in the cultural battle within the country

The conflict arose when he refused to maintain a program linked to journalists from the Russian state media outlet Sputnik. According to his testimony, the owner of the radio station refused to remove that content because of the revenue it generated, which strained negotiations

The situation worsened when, at a subsequent meeting, Negre claimed to have met with Russian representatives and that the purchase transaction was finally canceled. According to him, they presented a higher offer to stay with the broadcaster and continue their strategy of influence in Argentine media
