An error on the official support website of Riot Games confirmed ahead of time the arrival of Blitzcrank as the ninth playable character in 2XKO, the new fighting game based on the universe of League of Legends. The leak occurred when the image of the automaton from Zaun appeared in several sections of the portal, which quickly caught the community's attention.
After the discovery spread, Riot ended up officially announcing the character's addition on its social media channels. Blitzcrank will debut in the closed beta on September 9 on PC, while news about the console versions is still pending.
The error that revealed the new champion
The leak happened when Blitzcrank's artwork appeared as the main image on the 2XKO support page and also in a navigation widget on the same site. The community quickly shared the material, which forced the studio to acknowledge the error and make the announcement official.

This type of incident highlights the importance of managing digital assets in the industry, although in this case it was a human oversight and not an external intrusion.
