Kirchnerist activists are blocking the streets and have been involved in clashes with security forces

On a day marked by institutional tension and unrest, Kirchnerism once again managed to gather a quorum in the Chamber of Deputies to push forward a series of bills aimed at destroying the fiscal balance achieved by President Javier Milei's government and triggering a new economic crisis.
While measures seeking to reinstate privileges and increase public spending were being debated in the chamber, violent Kirchnerist and left-wing activists blocked the streets near Congress and engaged in clashes with security forces.
The City Police, applying the anti-picketing protocol, intervened to clear the area and restore traffic flow, using a water cannon as a deterrent in response to the growing violence of the protesters.

Videos of the unrest went viral on social media. One of the most shared posts shows a Kirchnerist activist, who was properly subdued for causing disturbances in Congress, receiving milk on his face from his companions, and for some reason opening his mouth while they poured it on him.
Inside Congress, the bills promoted by the opposition directly target the austerity and fiscal responsibility policy that has, for the first time in decades, allowed public accounts to be put in order and genuine economic growth to be promoted.
Among the initiatives they seek to pass are the increase of the university and teacher salary budgets without a funding source, the declaration of various emergencies (pediatric health, science, and technology) that serve only to justify new expenditures, and the repeal of key presidential decrees regarding transportation, culture, the merchant marine, and the decentralization of trusts.
Another of the most controversial points is the Kirchnerist bloc's insistence on increasing funds for Bahía Blanca, even beyond what Milei's government has already sent, disregarding the presidential veto. They also seek to intervene in the Permanent Budget Law and impose a commission reform on cryptocurrencies.
