In the last quarterfinal match, River will try to maintain its great home form against Platense. The winner of the series will play against San Lorenzo, which recently eliminated Argentinos Juniors.

In the Apertura, it comes from a 3-0 thrashing of Barracas Central in the round of 16, with goals from Paulo Díaz, Nacho Fernández, and Marcos Acuña, while in the Libertadores, it comes from crushing Independiente del Valle with a resounding 6 to 2.

Meanwhile, Platense reached the quarterfinals after pulling off a shock against Racing, one of the title favorites. In that match, the Squid won by the minimum, with the only goal at 84 minutes by Nicolás Orsini, who had entered three minutes earlier.
