Rural gang dismantled after more than 20 robberies in the fields of Córdoba and Santa Fe
The criminals operated in low-surveillance areas and had technology to evade controls
A criminal gang dedicated to committing robberies in rural areas of eastern Córdoba and western Santa Fe was dismantled this Wednesday following multiple simultaneous operations in both provinces. The organization is linked to more than 20 criminal incidents in fields in towns such as Freyre, Devoto, Marina, Luxardo, and La Francia, among others.
The procedures were carried out by more than 30 officers from various units. Among them were the Rural Patrol Investigations Division, DIO, ETER, and Santa Fe forces such as Regional Unit V. As a result, three men were arrested: one in Frontera (Santa Fe), another in Freyre, and the third in Porteña.
According to authorities, the investigation is still ongoing, since at least two members of the gang remain at large, although they have already been identified. The operations were supervised by personnel from San Francisco Investigations and the Freyre Substation.

They stole machinery, tools, and even wiring
The gang operated with a systematic modus operandi that included preliminary intelligence work to determine whether the fields were occupied. When they confirmed there were no caretakers or owners, they waited until nightfall to enter with pickup trucks, carts, and tools.
The criminals had technology capable of disabling security cameras and avoided areas with too much surveillance. Once inside, they stole small agricultural machinery, shed tools, tractor wheels, and even cable installations.
According to the acting forces, "the organization had a well-defined logistics system and operated with planning." The seized material will be examined in the coming hours and will be added as evidence to the ongoing judicial case.
