Russo was discharged, but he must wait for approval to return to coaching at Boca.

Miguel Ángel Russo set off alarms at Boca. The coach had to go to a clinic in Buenos Aires this Monday for routine tests, but the doctors decided to hospitalize him due to a case of dehydration.

The head coach received IV fluids and, although at first they considered keeping him under observation overnight, he was ultimately discharged in the afternoon and returned home to continue his recovery. The question now is whether he will be able to attend Tuesday's training session with the squad at Boca Predio.

Today, Boca's medical staff will assess whether the coach is fit to lead the practice scheduled for the afternoon in Ezeiza. On Monday, the players had the day off after the 2-2 draw against Central Córdoba at La Bombonera in the Torneo Clausura.

This is not the first time this month that concerns have arisen about the coach's health. Just 15 days ago, Russo was hospitalized for three nights due to a urinary tract infection, which forced him to delegate training sessions to his assistants.

Upon his return, the head coach traveled to Rosario to lead the match against Central and, in a press conference, downplayed comments about his condition: "They said a lot of nonsense about me, which goes in one ear and out the other. The only one who knows about their health is oneself. If I'm working, it's because I've been cleared for everything," he stated.

When Boca plays again

Xeneize will play again on Saturday the 27th at 7:00 p.m. against Defensa y Justicia in Florencio Varela, for the tenth round of the Torneo Clausura. With 14 points, Boca is in third place in Zone A, behind Unión (16) and Barracas Central (15), while in the annual standings the club is second with 47 points, tied with Rosario Central and only behind River (49).
