Sabrina Rojas surprised her followers by publicly announcing the end of her relationship with José “Pepe” Chatruc. Through a story on her Instagram account, the América TV host was direct and straightforward: “I’m here to tell you that Pepe and I are no longer together.”
The announcement came after just over four months of dating. Rojas made it clear from the very beginning that there were no third parties involved or conflicting situations. “Nothing happened, there was simply a magic that faded away. When things get stuck, you shouldn’t force them. That’s how we both understood it after a nice chat,” she explained naturally.
Despite the recent breakup, the journalist and host emphasized the value of what they experienced together. “José is one of the most spectacular people I’ve crossed paths with in recent years, which is why I cherish these months as a beautiful memory. The end,” she concluded in her message. The tone was calm and grateful, far from any drama.
Chatruc did not take long to react. He reposted the statement on his own Instagram account and added a brief but eloquent comment: “Nothing more to add, you are an incredible woman, Sabri.” The response from the former footballer and journalist reinforced the idea that the decision was mutual and respectful.
How the public relationship started
The bond between them became visible in May, after some ups and downs. When Sabrina turned 46, Chatruc dedicated a romantic message on social media that confirmed they had formalized their relationship. “Happy birthday to my partner @rojassasi. Step by step, the queen tells me, and for me, it’s a championship phrase,” he wrote at that time.
In the same post, the journalist added: “I know you rocked it last year, but I’m convinced that from now on, it’s all uphill. I hope to accompany you so you keep shining more and more. I love you, Rojas, you are by far number 1.” And he closed with a playful postscript: “P.S.: prize for me for getting ahead of the times.”
Even in an interview with the program Intrusos, from América, Chatruc acknowledged that he had formally asked the host to be his girlfriend. Sabrina, for her part, responded affectionately: “How lucky I am to have you in my life. You are everything that is good, and if people knew you, they would know that I’m the one who is stealing. I love you, Chatruc.” And she summarized: “Starting my 46 with you is a beautiful gift.”
In the Argentine entertainment scene, where breakups often generate conflicting versions, the exchange between Rojas and Chatruc drew attention for its serenity and mutual respect. Neither of them sought to place blame or fuel controversies.
