After the press conference led by Sergio Costantino, Marcelo Moretti returned to the center of the institutional scene at San Lorenzo with a harsh statement against the current leadership. The former president of Ciclón questioned the origin of the funds used to lift the transfer bans, directly targeted the president, and asserted that the club is going through a more serious situation than the one officially reported.
"They clearly paid with the money from Báez's sale", Moretti stated, referring to the player who arrived during his administration and whom he described as "poorly sold". In that regard, he maintained that there is no sporting project and expressed his displeasure over the lack of reinforcements for coach Damián Ayude.
Moretti also emphasized that the agreement reached to lift the transfer bans is partial and in installments. "The debts remain in force until the total is paid off", he asserted. In addition, the former director went further by stating that San Lorenzo "today owes three million dollars more than when they carried out the bogus power vacuum on December 16".

In his statement, he strongly targeted Costantino for the generation of liabilities during his time as secretary: "I won't mention that during Costantino's administration the contracts of Formiliano (he never played), Auzqui, Gordillo, or the Uruguayan Ramírez were signed, who barely added minutes and cost us almost 5 million dollars in every respect".
Meanwhile, he detailed that out of more than USD 3,000,000 in transfer bans, around USD 2,500,000 correspond to commitments undertaken between 2021 and 2023, while the remaining USD 500,000 originated during his term in the cases of Romaña and Larrosa.
