Santiago del Azar defended himself against Melody Luz's accusations of violence

The chef gave his account of the contentious relationship he had with the dancer

Santiago del Azarchose the program Mujeres argentinas to share his version of the troubled relationship he had with dancer Melody Luz, who in recent days called him a "violent chef". During an extensive interview, Del Azar appeared visibly affected and decided to clarify each of the accusations he had received.

"I feel sad and disappointed. I'm here to defend my name and to defend myself as a man", he said as soon as the conversation with host Belén Ludueña began. According to his explanation, his goal isn't to attack Melody, but to put into words everything he experienced in recent months."I believe women have every right and that's very good, but men have rights too. I'm here to defend that", he stated.

One of the things that hurt the chef the most was that the dancer shared details of alleged episodes of aggression.  "I listened to the whole interview where she says I wasn't violent, but that I kicked the door. So, which is it? Am I violent or not? Am I aggressive or not?" he asked, visibly upset by the contradictions that, according to him, damaged his image.

The moment that affected him the most was when he discovered that Melody had feelings for Alex Caniggia. "From day one I took care of her, I supported her. I put up with nights of tears because he had gone with a woman to the countryside. I told her 'you're not crying for your daughter, you're crying for him'. She insisted she wasn't, but to me it was clear", he revealed about the episode that, according to his account, opened his eyes.

Del Azar also questioned the version his ex-partner released about the end of the relationship. "She says 'you got what you wanted'. No, you got what you wanted. I didn't want you to leave me", he said, moved. He added: "A lot of things happened in that relationship that made me much more insecure".

Finally, the chef explained why he decided to speak now. "I'm tired of staying silent. I'm not here to judge her or to make her look bad, I'm just here to tell the truth and to express what I feel", he concluded.
