Scandal at San Lorenzo: Lopardo's decision in case Moretti returns
The Ciclón executive confirmed what his fate will be if the president returns to the club after his long leave of absence, framed by the accusation of alleged bribes
San Lorenzo is experiencing a deep institutional crisis, and in recent hours, the internal atmosphere has become even more tense. According to reports, Marcelo Moretti, the club's president who is currently on leave, has decided to return to his position this Thursday, which has sparked a major stir both inside and outside the Board of Directors.
Reactions were quick to emerge, and several voices within the club expressed opposition to the possible return of the president, who stepped aside after the video scandal involving alleged bribes that implicates him judicially.
One of them was Julio Lopardo, the club's current interim president, who, in a conversation with the club media outlet San Lorenzo Primero, was unequivocal: if Moretti returns, he will resign not only from the interim presidency but also from the Board of Directors. The official was the one who took over after the president's departure and held key meetings, including with Claudio Tapia, to address the institution's serious situation.

His potential resignation would represent a significant institutional blow, and it is expected that he will not be the only one to step aside. Although there are no confirmations for now, there is speculation that other members of the Board could follow the same path if Moretti's return materializes.
Rejection also comes from the vice presidency
Another person who spoke on the matter was Andrés Terzano, the club's vice president, who on Tuesday spoke with La Cicloneta and made his position clear: "In Somos San Lorenzo (his group, which was part of the Boedo en Acción list) we don't agree with his return. If he returns, we'll see."

Uncertainty is growing as the indicated date approaches, with a club mired in economic, sporting, and political problems, and a leadership divided over the possible return of its president.
