When does registration open for each line of Progresar Scholarships
The application dates vary according to the chosen educational line. For the Completion of Compulsory Education, registration is available from August 10 to September 4, 2026.
In the case of Promotion of Higher Education and Progresar Nursing, students can enroll between August 18 and September 11, 2026.
Requirements for Completion of Compulsory Education
This line of Progresar Scholarships aims to promote the reintegration, retention, and graduation of primary and secondary level students. It is intended for young people between 16 and 24 years old.
It extends up to 35 years for heads of single-parent households with children under 18 years old
There is no maximum age limit for transgender individuals, people with disabilities, refugees, Afro-descendants, or indigenous peoples
The income of the applicant and their family group must not exceed 3 Minimum, Vital, and Mobile Salaries (SMVM)
They cannot be registered for Income Tax
Requirements for Completion of Compulsory Education
Those who are awarded will receive up to 6 monthly installments: 4 regular installments with a 20% retention until school certifications are met, 1 incentive installment for training activities, and 1 incentive installment for academic performance.
Requirements for Promotion of Higher Education
This line of Progresar is aimed at students of tertiary, university, teaching, and technical careers in state-managed public institutions. The age range is from 17 to 25 years for newcomers, extending up to 30 for advanced students.
The limit is 35 years for heads of single-parent households
The cap is 30 years for strategic careers in exact sciences (Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology)
There is no age limit for prioritized vulnerable groups
Requirements for the Promotion of Higher Education
It is required to have completed secondary school without pending subjects. To register as an advanced student for the first time, at least 50% of the approved subjects from the study plan must be accredited.
The payment scheme consists of 6 monthly installments. Advanced students receive 100% from the start, while newcomers have 20% withheld until regularity is certified, with 2 additional incentive installments for academic progress.
Requirements for Progresar Nursing
This line promotes the training of health professionals in public universities and state technical institutes, or private institutions adhering to PRONAFE with affordable installments. Access is available from 17 years old, with no maximum age limit.
Requirements to Advance in Nursing
Completion of secondary education without pending subjects is required, along with a complete or ongoing vaccination schedule according to age group. The income cap for the family group remains at up to 3 SMVM, and the installment benefits coincide with those of Higher Education.
Requirements for Professional Training
This line is aimed at those taking courses or trades approved by the National Institute of Technological Education (INET) and CoNETyP. The age range is from 18 to 24 years, extendable to 35 for unemployed individuals or heads of single-parent households.
Requirements for Vocational Training
The payment includes 80% monthly and a 20% final amount withheld until course certification.
