The gaming world received an unexpected surprise after Sega updated its official website with a reference to Yakuza Kiwami 3. Although the mention was quickly removed, fans wasted no time spreading the information.
The official announcement will be made at the RGG Summit 2025, scheduled for September 24 during the Tokyo Game Show. However, the leak has already sparked excitement within the community.

What is known about the new Yakuza announcement
Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio plans to present its upcoming projects at the event. Among them, Stranger Than Heaven, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, and the expansion of Yakuza 0 Director's Cut to new platforms could appear.
Still, the big surprise seems to be Yakuza Kiwami 3. The Japanese website for the series even displayed a special category for this title, which confirms the leak. Although the section was deleted, it remains indexed on Google.
A highly anticipated return for the series
Yakuza 3 was released in 2009 as the first main game in the franchise on PlayStation 3. It later received a remaster in 2018 that restored content removed from its Western version.
Un regreso esperado para la saga
The Kiwami label indicates that this will not be a simple re-release. It is speculated that it will be a version with an updated graphics engine and possible changes to the story and gameplay. This could breathe new life into an installment considered one of Kazuma Kiryu's weakest.
What to expect from RGG Summit 2025
The official confirmation is expected next week, when the studio gives its presentation. Everything suggests the event will be packed with announcements, but attention is already focused on Yakuza Kiwami 3.
