Seven members of Gimnasia's dissident supporters group were banned from admission.
The Buenos Aires judiciary issued the preventive measure after identifying those involved in an operation prior to the match against Independiente, some of whom have serious criminal records
The Justice of the province of Buenos Aires ordered the preventive ban on attending sporting events for seven Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata fans identified as members of the barrabrava faction known as "La Nueva Generación".
The decision was made following a police operation carried out prior to the match against Independiente, held on July 27 at the Juan Carmelo Zerillo stadium, which resulted in sanctions for ten other fans who attempted to enter the stadium.
According to the investigation, these newly sanctioned individuals allegedly brought in a flag bearing the inscription "La Nueva Generación" in the section designated for the club's traditional supporters' group, which raised an alert among authorities over a possible advance of this internal faction.
According to the 9th police station of La Plata, the main individual identified for bringing in the flag is Diego Esequiel Amarilla, accompanied by Rolando Nicolás Croce, David Carlos Sosa, Leonardo Pedro Caroni, Lucas Nahuel Calderón, Mariano Oscar Piacentini, and Milton Agustín Muñiz.

The decision, issued under Article 27 bis of Law 11.929, prevents those involved from attending any sporting event in Buenos Aires territory until the Justice issues a final ruling. The measure was officially notified to the Argentine Football Association (AFA), the club's management, and security forces, with the aim of ensuring its enforcement.
Among those sanctioned, there are criminal records for offenses such as homicide, aggravated robbery, illegal possession of weapons, concealment, and assault. This criminal record reinforces the violent profile of the faction, which in recent years has sought to gain prominence and displace the historic supporters' group of Lobo, generating internal tension and concern in the field of sports security.
