Pablo Migliore harshly criticized Riquelme for his euphoric celebration against Racing
Amid the football crisis, the former goalkeeper questioned the fact that Boca's president celebrated a draw at La Bombonera with such intensity
The reaction of Juan Román Riquelme after the agonizing 1-1 draw between Boca and Racing at La Bombonera continues to generate debate. The celebration, unusually effusive for a home draw, surprised with its intensity and was more reminiscent of celebrations for major achievements (such as his victory in the 2023 elections or River's elimination in the 2024 Copa de la Liga) than of a result that merely served to avoid another setback at home.
One of those who joined the criticism was Pablo Migliore, former Xeneize goalkeeper and former teammate of Riquelme, who had previously questioned his management on other occasions.
"You didn't celebrate Carlitos Tevez's goal against Gimnasia, which meant snatching the championship from River in the last 10 minutes (it was the same day you didn't come down to greet Diego), and now you celebrated a draw that means little for Boca, but a relief for your people," he wrote on his social media.

Migliore added an even harsher message: "We say that Boca is above everything and everyone. You don't say it, and it's almost the only act of sincerity on your part... Many people have stopped admiring the football idol... No one has any reason to admire the executive."
The other criticism of Román
This isn't the first time the former goalkeeper has taken shots at Román. At the end of July, he did so as well, criticizing the club's leadership and targeting those closest to him: "Even though you'll never understand it, Boca is bigger than you, your brother, and all the sycophants who make you believe otherwise... The banner 'Boca is great because of its people' was commissioned by you and paid for by all of us. Please, read it until you understand it."

Now, with the controversy over his celebration against Racing as a trigger, Migliore once again made it clear that his relationship with Boca's president is marked by public confrontation.
