The call from the Secretariat of State Intelligence (SIDE) to incorporate new agents exceeded 40,000 applications in just 24 hours.
This was reported by the agency itself through its official X account, where it highlighted the large number of Argentinians interested in joining the National Intelligence Corps and participating in tasks related to the defense of the country's interests.
"WE HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED MORE THAN 40,000 APPLICATIONS TO JOIN THE NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE CORPS", announced SIDE in its post, which also referred to the conditions that those seeking to join the intelligence structure will have to face.

The agency warned that the job involves considerable demands and is not a conventional activity. "We warn that it is a lot of work, that there are no hours, that the demands are extreme, and that the risk is real", it stated.
Despite these conditions, the initial response exceeded the expectations communicated by the Secretariat itself. In the same message, it highlighted the interest of the applicants and anticipated that it would individually analyze the candidacies to determine who would advance in the selection process.
"However, in just 24 hours, we have already received more than 40,000 applications from Argentinians who want to work to defend the Argentine Republic. We will review each profile. And we will choose the best", expressed the agency.
Until when will the SIDE call be open
The registration to join the National Intelligence Corps began on November 3 and will remain open until November 30, 2026. Thus, interested parties still have a few weeks to submit their applications through the digital form available on the Secretariat's official site.
SIDE also confirmed that it expects to receive new applications during the established period. "The call will be open until November 30. We hope many more Argentinians continue to apply", it indicated in its post.

What is the process to become an intelligence agent
Submitting an application does not guarantee entry into the agency. Candidates will have to go through various evaluation stages before they can join the professional intelligence career.
The procedure includes an initial selection of profiles and a digital general knowledge exam. Those who pass this stage will have to take written, physical, and psychological evaluations, in addition to participating in a personal interview.
Subsequently, the selected candidates will have to complete the Basic Entry Course at the National Intelligence School. The final incorporation will depend on performance during training and available vacancies.
The call is part of the new public entry scheme promoted by SIDE, which aims to establish a professional career based on selection, training, and merit.
With more than 40,000 applications received during the first 24 hours, the Secretariat highlighted the initial response to its recruitment campaign and reaffirmed that it will continue to receive candidacies until the end of November.
