Sony Pictures released the latest trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the new Spider-Man movie directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. The film hits theaters on July 31, 2026.
This is the continuation of No Way Home (2021) and aims to kick off a new trilogy with Tom Holland in the lead role. Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

What Spider-Man: Brand New Day Is About
No Way Home ended with Peter Parker asking Doctor Strange to erase him from everyone's memory to protect the multiverse, including his girlfriend MJ. According to the official synopsis, in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Peter fights crime full-time in a world that no longer remembers him.
The pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him causes a change in Peter that he may not be able to control. That transformation, however, could be the only thing capable of stopping a new threat to the city: a powerful villain that no one can see.

The first half of the trailer reviews moments from the previous trilogy, including the farewell between Peter and MJ, where he promises to come back for her. When he finally finds her working in a diner, he loses his confidence and only asks for a coffee.
