The spectacular Turismo Pista finale that gave Agustín Canapino the victory
The 'Titan' narrowly prevailed and delivered one of the most hard-fought finishes in national motorsports to secure his fifth consecutive victory
The "300 Drivers Race" of Turismo Pista delivered a historic finish at the Buenos Aires racetrack, with a masterful maneuver by Agustín Canapino, who secured victory in the Clase 3 Guest Final after moving from 4th to 1st place in the final meters.
Driving his brother Matías's Chevrolet Onix, the driver from Arrecifes crossed the finish line just 0.029 seconds ahead of second place, in one of the closest finishes in national motorsport.

"I was resigned, I thought the race was already lost... But when I saw them bunching up, I braked as late as I could on the outside and pulled off a heroic move," said the "Titan" in an interview with Campeones Radio and AM590 Continental, moved by his new feat.
The other protagonists of this dramatic finish were Thiago Martínez, with Juan Arenaga's Toyota Etios; Joaquín Cafaro, with Martín Leston's Renault Clio; Germán Todino, also with an Etios.
In that final stretch, Canapino remained 4th until the hairpin, where he took advantage of contact between the leaders, went around the outside, and exited with greater speed onto the main straight to claim victory by 0.029 seconds over Martínez, 0.038 over Cafaro, and 0.041 over Todino.

With this performance, Canapino extended his streak to five consecutive victories in different categories: he won in TC Pick Up (La Plata), TC2000 (Termas), Turismo Carretera (Concepción del Uruguay), and this Sunday celebrated twice again at Gálvez, both in TC2000 (circuit 8) and in Turismo Pista (circuit 12), always paired with his brother Matías. Once again, he wrote an epic page in Argentine motorsport.
Meanwhile, today's race marked the return of the category to Gálvez circuit No. 12 after almost 14 years (the last time was in October 2011), and offered an unforgettable show: four different leaders, more than 20 position changes among the top five, and a thrilling finish in just 10 laps.
