STALKER 2 will no longer be an Xbox exclusive: it is coming to PS5 with graphical improvements
STALKER 2 will launch this year on PS5 with enhancements for PS5 Pro and compatibility with the DualSense controller
The highly anticipated action and survival title, STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl, will no longer be exclusive to Xbox consoles. The developer GSC Game World confirmed that it will also arrive on PlayStation 5 in 2025.
The news excites those who were waiting for its arrival on Sony's console, although there is still no exact release date. It was confirmed in advance that it will have support for the DualSense controller and technical improvements on PS5 Pro.

A release awaited by the gaming community
After its debut in November 2024 on PC and Xbox Series X/S, STALKER 2 sparked the interest of PS5 players. The title offers an intense experience in a post-apocalyptic environment, with open exploration, a deep narrative, and challenging combat.
Since its original release, the game has received constant updates that have fixed several technical errors, significantly improving performance and gameplay.
What's new in the PS5 version
GSC Game World confirmed that this version will fully utilize the features of the DualSense, such as haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

In addition, PS5 Pro will feature graphical and performance improvements, although the developer has not yet detailed what those adjustments will entail.
A demanding and captivating formula
The game combines elements of role-playing, action, and survival with moments of horror. Its open world doesn't have fast travel and forces the player to move cautiously, make decisions, and adapt to the environment.

The story takes place in the so-called Zone, a place full of anomalies, warring factions, and secrets to discover. It is ideal for those seeking an intense and different game.
When is it launching on PS5?
For now, there is no confirmed date. GSC Game World only announced that the release will be during this year. Everything indicates that the wait will not be long, since the development of this version is advanced.
