'The Boys': Amazon Prime Video announced a prequel featuring Soldier Boy and Stormfront
Prime Video has confirmed a new prequel series that will tell the origin of Vought with two of its most controversial figures
Amazon Prime Video doesn't plan to abandon the success of The Boys. Although the main series is coming to an end, the universe is expanding with a new prequel focused on two key characters.
"Vought Rising" is the name of this new project that will take the story to the 1950s. It explores the origins of the corporation that created the most dangerous superheroes on the planet.

What Vought Rising, the new prequel series, is about
With the end of the fifth season of The Boys, Eric Kripke is saying goodbye to the original series. Far from closing the door, Amazon has already set Vought Rising in motion.
This new thriller will star Stormfront (Aya Cash) and Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles). It will focus on a mysterious murder that connects both characters at the beginning of Vought.
A look at the past of the The Boys universe
The plot will be set in the 1950s, revealing the origin of many of the company's dark practices. The tone is expected to be just as biting, violent, and provocative as in the original series.

Additionally, it could mark the return of characters like Black Noir, who keeps a direct connection with Soldier Boy as shown in the main series.
Which actors are returning and when it premieres
Jensen Ackles confirmed that filming begins in August. Aya Cash is also returning to the role of Stormfront, in a stage where her character was not yet so openly feared. The series currently has only one confirmed season.
