The Argentine duo confirmed that its next album, which will be released on March 19, will include a collaboration with Sting

After being crowned on Sunday, February 1 with the award for Best Latin Alternative Album at the Grammy Awards, Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso once again surprised their fans with a high-impact international announcement. The duo confirmed that it will release its new album next March 19, and that it will feature none other than Sting.

The news was revealed through a seven-minute video released jointly on Instagram, where the former leader of The Police appears as the protagonist of a story that is as elaborate as it is ironic. Far from a traditional announcement, the British musician created an audiovisual piece full of humor, criticism of the music industry, and a conceptual narrative that quickly went viral.

Sting's appearance was not an isolated gesture. Days earlier, the duo's followers had noticed a striking shift in its aesthetic during the awards ceremony: minimalist and sober looks, far removed from the colorful and extravagant imprint that usually characterizes them. At that moment, the artists themselves hinted that the transformation was due to the influence of a new "mentor," a clue that has now been fully confirmed.

In the video, Sting introduces himself as the founder of the Free Spirits Wellness Center, an alleged private center dedicated to the mental and emotional well-being of influential figures. From that fictional premise, the musician recounts how he met Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso in Argentina about a year ago, and how he was a direct witness to their meteoric rise on the international scene.

According to his account, the constant exposure, a world tour of more than 120 dates, and global recognition led to a personal crisis that caused the duo to cancel, at the last minute, the release of Top of the Hills. In that context, always within the satirical tone of the video, the artists supposedly took refuge in his center, where they went through an intensive therapeutic process that included — in an exceptional way — the recording of a new album during the retreat.

As a condition for that process, Sting states that both of them had to verbalize their emotional conflicts and accept his participation in one of the album's songs. "Hello, I'm Sting. For the first time in the history of humankind I want to welcome you to my Free Spirits Wellness Center", he begins by saying in the recording, reinforcing the plausibility of the story to the point of having even created an Instagram account for the supposed institution.

Throughout the video, the British musician describes with irony the critical moment before the canceled album. "Their album was literally the worst thing I've ever heard in my entire life", he declares, before explaining how that downfall ended up turning Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso into what he calls the first "True Free Spirits."

That supposed "spiritual breakthrough" would have been the creative driving force that allowed them, in record time, to shape a new album that will include a direct collaboration with Sting. "The result with them has been transcendental. What they created is not just an album, it's a triumph for humankind", the musician states, heightening the epic tone of the announcement.

To conclude, Sting revealed that along with the release of the album, on March 19, a summary video of the duo's experience in the fictional center will be released. He also indicated that Ca7riel and Paco Amoroso will take on a new symbolic role: guiding other artists toward "a new way of listening to music".
