The rain and hail that fell during the morning of this Monday in Córdoba left 37 reports attended by Civil Defense, as confirmed by the municipality.
According to records from the Network of Meteorological Stations, the Sargento Cabral neighborhood was the area with the highest accumulation, with 42.16 millimeters, while 14 millimeters were recorded at the border between Córdoba and Villa Allende.
Among the reported incidents were fallen trees or those at risk of falling, hanging streetlight cables, and five columns or posts at risk of falling.
Additionally, Civil Defense received a request for social assistance, which was referred to the corresponding area of the Municipality, and one residence suffered flooding.
Sierras Chicas: hail in Unquillo
A fierce storm with abundant hail caused severe damage in the town of Unquillo, in the heart of the Sierras Chicas.
The phenomenon, which was recorded past 6:50 in the morning, left immediate consequences on the urban infrastructure, vegetation, and businesses in the area.
The most severe damage was concentrated in the emblematic Paseo de los Artesanos, located along the road and next to the Contemporary Art Museum of Unquillo (MACU).
