The Supreme Court meets to rule on Cristina Kirchner's case this afternoon
Rosatti called the other justices of the highest court to hold a meeting this Tuesday at 4:00 p.m
After days of speculation, the president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation, Horacio Rosatti, summoned the other judges of the highest court to hold a meeting this Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
The purpose of the meeting, according to reports, is to move forward with the decision on the ruling against the former president and convicted for corruption, Cristina Kirchner, in the case known as "Vialidad."
The summons was made within the powers granted to the head of the court by Article 84, second paragraph, of the Regulations for National Justice, in accordance with the provisions of Agreement 36/2003.
The "Vialidad" case is considered one of the investigations with the greatest institutional significance currently being evaluated by the Court. Its analysis has caused great expectations in both the political and judicial spheres.

The meeting took place in a context of intense political tension, given the symbolic impact and potential consequences of the ruling that the Court could issue.
So far, no details have been released about the content of the debate or about a possible date when a final decision will be announced, although it is suspected that it could be today at 4:00 p.m.
Yesterday, it became known that the Supreme Court is already working on the ruling that will confirm Cristina Kirchner's sentence in the Vialidad case. The decision can't be postponed beyond Friday.
Carlos Rosenkrantz, one of the members of the highest court, is the one who has the most reservations regarding the appropriate time to issue the decision. The magistrate returned this Monday from a trip to Río Negro and next week will travel to Mexico.

A key fact is that the Criminal Secretariat of the Court is currently preparing a reasoned rejection of the appeal filed by Cristina Kirchner. This implies two things:
First, the judicial decision is getting closer. If it is not solved before Friday, the ruling would be postponed until after Rosenkrantz returns from Mexico, which would place it too close to the deadline for the registration of lists for the legislative elections.
Second, the ruling will not be limited to a brief resolution under Article 280 of the Code of Procedure, as had been speculated until now, but will be a decision with legal grounds.
