The executive explained to CNBC that his "level of conviction" about GTA 6's date is "very, very high." However, fans recall that before the delay to 2026, similar assurances had already been given for 2025.
Zelnick pointed out that Rockstar seeks perfection in its games and that, although he is optimistic, everyone must work hard to deliver an excellent product.

Although GTA 6 is the priority, Rockstar is working on other developments. It is collaborating with Remedy on the remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2, and there are rumors about native versions of Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2.
