The news was surprising because high prices and editions with paid DLC are common in today's industry. Silksong breaks with that logic and opts for a more accessible model.
The studio confirmed that the game will be available this Thursday at 11:00 am (Argentina time). On that day, fans will be able to take control of Hornet again and explore a new world full of challenges.
The news was announced on Team Cherry's official account on X, where it quickly became a trending topic. The anticipation is enormous after years of waiting and rumors about the release date.
Team Cherry demonstrates once again that it goes against the usual practices in gaming. First, because Silksong started as a DLC and ended up becoming a standalone game. Second, because those who supported the original receive this installment at no additional cost.
In a market where releases are around 70 or 80 dollars, Team Cherry decided to go against the grain. The highly anticipated Hollow Knight Silksong arrives at a much more affordable price.
The confirmation came after a leak on GameStop, which revealed the game's price in advance. Now the Australian studio has made it official and has earned the applause of thousands of players on social media.
According to Team Cherry, Hollow Knight Silksong will cost 19.99 dollars at its digital launch. The studio also detailed that those who supported the first game on Kickstarter will receive this installment for free.
