Thanks to Milei's government, homicides of women decreased by 20% in 2024.

The libertarian administration used data from the National Ombudsman's Office to support this claim.

Today, through its social media account, the Government of Javier Milei released a video on the occasion of International Women's Day, criticizing the previous Kirchnerist administration and recalling that, during 2024, there was a notable decrease in "femicides."

Despite constant criticism from far-left feminist sectors, the libertarian administration achieved a 20% reduction in women's homicides, something that reflects the success of its tough-on-crime policy and "those who do it, pay for it."

In the video, Milei's Government recalls that previous administrations "were dedicated to making symbolic policies without anything concrete that really helps to minimize violence against women," and that "crimes against women increased instead of decreasing, reaching a record of women's homicides."

However, "in 2024, with the arrival of President Milei, the Ministry of Women was closed, and all gender areas in other ministries were eliminated, the spending on gender policies for women was reduced but instead of continuing to rise, violence decreased."

To support this claim, the libertarian Government used data from the National Ombudsman's Office, which states that women's homicides fell by 20% in 2024, breaking a years-long trend.

Additionally, it explains using a characteristic phrase from Minister Patricia Bullrich: "This is because the national State now adopts a policy of those who do it, pay for it by punishing the murderers."

"As a State policy, all criminals were fought, and women were the most benefited. Because the true policy to combat this scourge doesn't consist of using the money of good Argentinians to profit from the victims, nor in using the State to promote the woke ideology," adds the video.

The difference with Kirchnerism

This result reflects a considerable advance compared to the previous government, which, despite its "feminist" policies, having a Ministry of Women, and being full of "feminist" officials, not only failed to reduce the "femicides" figures but also brought them to alarming levels.

This decrease in women's deaths goes hand in hand with a general reduction in the national homicide rate thanks to the "zero tolerance" strategies adopted by the libertarian administration, which contrasts with the previous government's management, which did not implement effective measures to combat crime and murders.

This way, although it may not be to the liking of feminists, Milei's Government has shown more concern for women than the "feminist and progressive" government of Alberto Fernández and Cristina Kirchner.

This progress demonstrates that tough-on-crime and zero tolerance policies are the only way to achieve real results in the fight against violence, contrasting with the feminist model implemented during the previous government, which turned out to be a failure.
