The Government will maintain the reforms made by decree despite the rejection in Congress.
Francos defended the legality of the delegated decrees and assured that the measures have already caused structural changes in the State
The government confirmed that it will keep the reforms implemented through delegated decrees in force, despite the recent parliamentary defeat that involved the rejection of five of those measures.
Guillermo Francos, Chief of Cabinet, emphasized that the transformations have already taken effect and that several state agencies, such as INTA and INTI, were merged or reduced to optimize resources. "We do not question INTA's function, but we do question the administrative bureaucracy it had," he stated.
Spending adjustment and fiscal results
Francos explained that the strategy made it possible to reverse the fiscal deficit and achieve a surplus. According to the official, in 2024 a 3.8% of GDP was achieved and in 2025 a 2.4% is projected. In addition, he highlighted that the population perceives a direct relationship between the surplus and the reduction of inflation. "The result is that inflation ends forever, and that's what Kirchnerism can't tolerate," he said.
Administrative simplification and business support
The Chief of Cabinet supported Federico Sturzenegger's work in simplifying state procedures, which aims to promote private activity and reduce bureaucratic intervention. "This is what is generating the change," he stated.

Decrees rejected in the Chamber of Deputies
The Chamber of Deputies voted against five decrees:
- 462/25: modification of technical agencies such as INTI and INTA.
- 345/25: dissolution of the Theater Institute and the National Commission of Popular Libraries.
- 351/25: transformation of the National Genetic Data Bank.
- 340/25: deregulation of the Merchant Marine.
- 461/25: dissolution of the National Road Administration.
Scenario in the Senate and alliance with PRO

Francos indicated that the final decision will depend on the Senate and the president of the body, Victoria Villarruel. He clarified that, even with a rejection, the reforms will remain in force because they have already been implemented.
Regarding the relationship with PRO, he confirmed that the alliance is stable and that they share the goal of transforming the State.
He criticized legislators who distance themselves and called for a firm commitment to fiscal balance to promote investment in strategic sectors such as agriculture, industry, energy, oil, and mining.
