Mauro Icardi is going through hectic days in Istanbul. While he's celebrating his return to the field and moving into a new mansion with María Eugenia "la China" Suárez, a video from the past has once again exposed him in the midst of controversy.
The recording, which went viral on Tuesday, August 19, although it dates back several months, showed the forward in a tense moment with his partner and her children at Galatasaray's facilities.

In the footage, Icardi and Suárez were seen accompanied by the actress's three children: Rufina (12), Magnolia (7), and Amancio (5). The children were wearing jerseys from the Turkish club when a group of fans surrounded them and began shouting the footballer's name to ask for photos.

The situation escalated when a fan got too close. According to what was seen, Icardi reacted with a headbutt while Suárez shouted to warn about the violence. A guard picked up Amancio in his arms, and the actress carried Magnolia to quickly move them away.
Security officers formed a cordon to protect the family and allow them to leave via the stairs. Although the footage has only now gained attention, it did not correspond to a recent event.

Icardi's return to football marked another key chapter. After tearing the ligaments and meniscus in his right knee in November 2023, the forward was out of action for nine months. He finally returned on August 15, scored a goal, and celebrated Galatasaray's 3-0 victory over Karagümrük.
After the match, he dedicated an emotional message to Suárez on Instagram, thanking her for supporting him during his injury: "You took care of me physically, but above all, you took care of my heart and my soul," he wrote, highlighting his partner's strength during his most difficult time.
