The nuclear policy of the Argentine Republic positions itself at the forefront of technological and commercial development in the free world. In this framework of intelligent international insertion, the Secretary of Nuclear Affairs, Federico Ramos Napoli, played a crucial role in a significant meeting in Washington with Argentine diplomat Rafael Grossi, current Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and a strong candidate to become the next Secretary General of the United Nations (UN).

The meeting also actively involved the President of Nucleoeléctrica, Juan Martín Campos, in the strategic context of the launch of the revolutionary ATLAS Initiative.

The official delegation outlined the direction of a highly strategic industry that promises to generate foreign currency and international prestige. In this regard, Federico Ramos Napoli highlighted through his official channels: "We discussed the Guidelines of Argentina's Nuclear Policy and the opportunities that the expansion of the industry opens for our country".

This new paradigm buries the previous lethargy and state isolation to leverage national technical leadership in the international market. In the words of Secretary Javier Milei: "Argentina has supported the IAEA since its foundation and leads nuclear development in Latin America. The capabilities that the country has built along this journey, from the fuel cycle to the training of specialists, are now in demand in a growing international market seeking reliable suppliers".

Furthermore, the official emphatically stated that "The Guidelines place international cooperation among the central tools of Argentina's nuclear policy, and the Agency is the forum where that cooperation is articulated with the rest of the world".

This qualitative leap in Argentine public management coincides with the spectacular rise of Rafael Grossi towards the pinnacle of global diplomatic power, reflecting the return of decency and national technical capacity to the big leagues.

The Argentine diplomat, who has been leading the IAEA since December 2019, is fully focused with overwhelming optimism on the final stretch of the selection process that will define, before the end of the year, the successor to the Portuguese António Guterres at the helm of the United Nations (UN).

In a revealing interview given in Washington on August 26, Rafael Grossi made clear the solidity of his proposal in the face of the discrediting of globalist dogmas: “I am optimistic; I believe that mine is a candidacy that projects effectiveness and a lot of realism, which is what is needed”.

This sovereign crusade to crown an Argentine at the UN has the unconditional support and bold strategy of the libertarian administration. Rafael Grossi did not hesitate to acknowledge the efficiency of the diplomatic apparatus led by Javier Milei's administration: "The part that corresponds to the diplomatic lobby is being done impeccably, by Foreign Minister Pablo Quirno and the Argentine diplomats. And Quirno with a great sense of leadership regarding the issues".

With total intellectual honesty, the candidate confided that he personally delivered his vision platform to the minister: "I wrote my vision myself, according to my criteria of what the multilateral tool should be. I handed it to Quirno, and just as I handed it to him, he presented it to the United Nations".

In response to biased inquiries from sectors attempting to discredit Argentina's strategic alliance with the West, the diplomat dismissed any harm from his closeness to the government of Javier Milei or Donald Trump:

"No, not at all. Because let's not forget that I am an international official. I am Argentine, very proud to be so... But I am not Argentina's foreign minister. I am not. So, I believe that this is a differentiation that is quite clear for countries".

For the candidate, national pride is unalterable: "You never take off the jersey. You have it in your DNA, you have it in your memories, it is your soul". In football and historical terms, he compared the significance of his candidacy to milestones such as the arrival of Francis to the papacy or the management of Foreign Minister Carlos Saavedra Lamas, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1936: "I believe it would gain a lot, because it is the highest expression of international diplomacy, embodied by one of its sons".

With a pragmatism characteristic of the liberal era, Rafael Grossi defended his ability to engage in dialogue with leaders of the stature of Donald Trump, with whom he worked excellently during his first presidency and continues to do so today at the IAEA.

In Washington, they jointly launched a key initiative with the U.S. Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright. The diplomat shattered the pretensions of globalist progressivism that seeks to financially suffocate organizations, warning of the grave danger that the UN could fall into a "sea of irrelevance" by behaving like an ideological preacher:

"If the United Nations assumes a kind of preacher character, an apostle of one-dimensional thinking, it is a political mistake... If I go against the first contributor who pays 25% of the organization's budget, then I have to sit down. I can't say, 'you are a tyrant, you are crazy.' No, I have to listen to why. That is the task ultimately. The world will never be univocal, even in more peaceful times. I have to have the wisdom to go down the middle path".

Moreover, he displayed a solid bond with rival powers, recalling that he was received in Moscow by President Vladimir Putin during the nuclear week organized with heads of state from Africa and led meetings in Chengdu, China, dispelling any geopolitical misgivings.

Regarding tensions with the United Kingdom over the Falkland Islands, he described them as "journalistic externalities," assuring that: "There is a common thread of very serious work with the United Kingdom on all agency issues that is excellent".
