Maxi López arrived in Argentina a few weeks ago to join the new season of MasterChef Celebrity, the culinary reality show on Telefe that promises to be one of the most talked-about programs of the season. Although his visit was initially going to be brief, the former footballer surprised everyone by confirming that he had decided to extend his stay in the country.
The decision is not only due to his participation in the program, but also to a personal reason involving his family. "Accepting required me to stay a few more weeks in the country, and the kids wanted that," Maxi explained in a recent interview.
The former River striker expressed enthusiasm for the television proposal: "I like MasterChef, it's something I'm learning, I enjoy it, and I feel more comfortable every day. You're going to see a bit of everything. It's a family-oriented environment, there is some suspicion here and there, but it's just as they told me."

The bond with his children —the result of his relationship with Wanda Nara— and the good family moment they are experiencing were decisive factors for López to choose to stay in Buenos Aires longer than he had planned.
According to reports, his personal schedule was organized so that he could enjoy more days with them, something that motivated him as much as the challenge of competing in the culinary contest.
His stay also sparked rumors related to his personal life, especially because his wife, Daniela Christiansson, is currently going through her second pregnancy in Europe.

Additionally, the closeness Maxi keeps with Wanda, mother of his three children, fueled speculation about possible tensions in the couple. When asked by the press about this situation, Maxi was blunt: "Everything has already been discussed, she knows there's good vibes," he assured in a conversation with América TV.
The former footballer clarified that his stay in the country is directly related to his performance in the program. "I don't know. Whether the steak gets burned or not, they'll decide (the jury). Since I had the first conversation, I started practicing," he joked.
Despite the rumors, those close to him emphasize that Daniela fully supports Maxi's decision, understands his family bond with Wanda, and respects the dynamic established between both parents. This harmony was essential for López to focus on his television participation without personal conflicts.
