The unusual reasons why Cris Morena stood up Mario Pergolini
A musical with 50 boys was waiting for her, but Cris Morena withdrew and left the entire production stunned
Mario Pergolini's return to television with Otro Día Perdido on ElTrece was filled with expectations, high-profile guests, and ambitious production. However, an unexpected situation overshadowed the show's recordings: Cris Morena canceled her participation at the last minute and sparked a wave of comments in the entertainment world.
An absence that caused a stir in the production
According to what Yanina Latorre revealed on Sálvese Quien Pueda (América), Cris Morena stood up the show's team, which was set to air this Thursday, leaving unfinished a tribute that included a musical with 50 students from her school, directed by Fer Dente. The production had worked all day for that special presentation.
Latorre detailed that the producer gave various excuses through her assistant. First, she said she was not feeling well. Then, she argued that she did not want to be too exposed. But the most striking was the third reason: "Cris Morena said she was bothered by not being the first woman invited to the show," the panelist stated.

Pergolini's return to broadcast television
The show Otro Día Perdido marked Mario Pergolini's return to broadcast television, with a debut that aired on Monday, July 14. The presentation had a reflective and somewhat ironic tone, true to the host's style. The first segment was introduced by a video narrated by Paulina Cocina titled "How to Prepare a Mario Pergolini 2025," where his career in media such as Caiga Quien Caiga and Vorterix was reviewed.

With a formal look and visibly moved, Pergolini declared in front of the cameras: "So this was television. I had forgotten. Thank you all." He then added with humor: "We're super excited. If it doesn't work, we can't give any more."
During his speech, he also joked about his return to the medium that made him famous: "I needed closure with TV or a new beginning. I don't know. But here we are." He ended with a joke that sparked laughter: "The police let me come without an ankle monitor, so I thank you very much."
The show has already featured guests such as Guillermo Francella, Cazzu, and Joaquín Furriel. However, Cris Morena's absence leaves a bitter taste in a production that had been strongly betting on emotional and visual impact.
