This Tuesday, AFA's Disciplinary Tribunal decided to consider the sanction that weighed on the president of Talleres, Andrés Fassi, as served, enabling him once again to formally perform his role as president of the institution.
Fassi has been carrying out an extraordinary administration at the helm of the Córdoba club.
In just over ten years, he took it from Federal A to playing in Primera, participating in international cups, and winning its first championship title.
He also managed to significantly increase the institution's assets, as well as its infrastructure, which is among the best in South America.
Sanction on Fassi by AFA
The executive had been punished with a 24-month suspension after the incidents that occurred in September 2024 in Mendoza, after the Copa Argentina match against Boca and the clash with referee Andrés Merlos, and for having resorted to ordinary courts (IGJ) without exhausting football's administrative channels.
The Tribunal based its decision on the principles of "reasonableness and proportionality", considering that more than a year has already passed since the events.
The resolution also lifts the disqualification of vice president Gustavo Gatti.
