Officers from the San Isidro DDI, together with the Operational Unit Division (DUOF) of the Federal Police in Paraná, Entre Ríos, arrested Alejo Leonel Warles, known as "Shishi," founder of "Al Ángulo TV," a portal and application considered one of the main audiovisual piracy operators in Latin America.
The arrest was carried out after a raid at his residence, ordered by the San Isidro Guarantees Court No. 4, presided over by Judge Esteban Eduardo Rossignoli, as part of an investigation by the Specialized Prosecutorial Unit for Cybercrime Investigation (UFEIC). During the operation, computers, cell phones, and other technological equipment were seized, as well as funds stored in virtual wallets and cryptocurrency accounts linked to the illicit activity.
According to the investigation, Al Ángulo TV operated with 14 mirror domains that replicated live sporting events and had an application for Android, increasing its reach and consolidating its position alongside the MAGIS TV app as one of the main piracy channels in the country. Both the website and the app caused revenue through informal advertising, exposing users to risks such as malware and theft of personal data.
