An incident of extreme seriousness with clear antisemitic and political connotations was reported on Thursday morning in the capital of the province of Corrientes: at the local headquarters of La Libertad Avanza (LLA), located at 1600 25 de Mayo Street (other reports indicate 1648), a sign appeared hanging with an explicit threat allegedly directed at President Javier Milei and his entourage, who are scheduled to visit the province next week.
The note, which had an intimidating tone and references to weaponry and radical religious slogans, stated verbatim: "Tell the false Jew that if he doesn't resign, he and his entire entourage, we're going to massacre them. The AK-47s (a Soviet-era assault rifle) are ready. Death to the infidels. Allahu Akbar (Allah is Great)." The dissemination of the message immediately raised alarms within the party's circle.

The situation prompted the filing of a criminal complaint with the Federal Court by the provincial representative of LLA, David Moulín; the acting federal prosecutor of First Instance, Melina Perborell, was notified of the case. The complaint stated that the message was found by the young Kevin Ortiz around 9 a.m., when he opened the doors of the headquarters and found the note hanging.
According to the report, the security cameras at the headquarters recorded the moment when Ortiz opened the door and found the threat; that audiovisual material was attached to the case. The complainants estimate that the message may have been placed between 10:00 p.m. on September 30 and the morning it was discovered, and they also requested the review of public and private security cameras located nearby—corners of 25 de Mayo and Santa Fe, and 25 de Mayo and España—which could provide evidence to identify the perpetrators.
The local leadership of LLA—headed by the party president Laura Marcore—informed the national authorities of the incident: the Casa Militar, the Ministry of National Security, and the Argentine Federal Police were notified, and a special security detail was assigned to the headquarters. Personnel from the Argentine Naval Prefecture also attended, and the Minister of Security of Corrientes, Alfredo Vallejos, contacted party leaders to offer support. Meanwhile, LLA expressed confidence in Minister Patricia Bullrich to lead the investigation.

The case takes on an additional dimension due to the presence of Jewish candidates and leaders on LLA's local lists and teams: the complaint noted that the second candidate for national deputy for LLA Corrientes, Gapel (or Isidoro) Redcozub, is a member of the Jewish community; councilman-elect Ángel Kofman was also mentioned as a potential target of the threat. For this reason, the leadership emphasized that the threat is directed not only at the President, but also at the Jewish community and local figures within the party.
The political repercussions were immediate. National deputy Lisandro Almirón (LLA) condemned the incident and interpreted it as part of "a growing campaign of antisemitism" that enables "the usual misfits" to carry out this type of act. In a post on X, Almirón described the message as "a direct threat to President Javier Milei" and warned that the method shows "terrorist traits based on an Islamic essentialism that must not be allowed in the country."
"The Jewish community should not be the target of these threats because of their religion nor endure such barbarity," Almirón stated, and specified that "the corresponding criminal complaint has been filed and those responsible will be sought so they answer for their actions." In the same vein, the provincial leadership assured that they will not be intimidated and will continue with their work agenda in the province.
From the national government and security forces, protection protocols were reinforced ahead of the imminent presidential visit; LLA also expressed faith that "whoever does it pays for it," a phrase attributed to Security Minister Patricia Bullrich, and called for speed and determination in identifying and sanctioning those responsible. The case is now in the hands of the Federal Court, which already has evidence—the written note and the footage—to move forward with the investigation.
