The presentation event for the Buenos Aires candidates of La Libertad Avanza in Junín, which was attended by President Javier Milei, was not exempt from violent incidents in its surroundings. Kirchnerist activists attacked Milei's supporters in an attempt to intimidate the event's participants and create destabilization.
The most serious incident occurred when Santiago Agustín Byjmuk, a Kirchnerist political operator and former Unión por la Patria city council candidate in Lanús, delivered a kick to the back of a retired La Libertad Avanza militant, causing shock among those present. Byjmuk has a history of aggression against police officers and opposition activists and publicly identifies himself on social media as a member of the UTEP National Secretariat and the Movimiento Popular La Dignidad, a Guevarist group of the far left.
The libertarian influencer Mariano Pérez described the attack: "He showed up again, this time hitting a retiree from behind. Just as much of a coward as when he started yelling for them to hit me after making a fool of himself on camera."
The episode is part of a pattern of recurring violence by Kirchnerism against La Libertad Avanza activists. Videos shared on social media show Byjmuk even attacking police officers and fleeing the scene, reinforcing the perception of impunity denounced by the ruling party.
