The reconstruction of Argentina under the government of Javier Milei continues to show results, in an undeniable statistical reality this July 14. This spirit was perfectly captured by the Minister of Economy, Luis Caputo, who has become the architect of this financial feat. The head of the economic portfolio used his official account on the social network X to summarize the sentiment of a country that is winning on all fronts again.
In a message that combined the rigor of data with the cheekiness typical of victory, Caputo linked economic milestones with the resounding 2-0 defeat of France against Spain in the semifinal of the 2026 World Cup, a reference that ignited the fervor of Argentines for the historic football rivalry with the French team.

“Inflation 1.9%, the [Central] Bank record purchases of 532 million and Spain's dance over France. Can we say that today is a good day?”, declared the Minister of Economy. His phrase is not just a sports jab, but the signature of a day where the goals of Mikel Oyarzabal and Pedro Porro at the Dallas Stadium seemed to resonate with the surgical precision of the Argentine economic plan.
On the strictly technical side, the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec) confirmed that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) recorded an increase of just 1.9% in June. This figure represents a notable slowdown compared to the 2.1% in May and marks the lowest variation in the last ten months.
Thanks to this fiscal discipline, the inflation accumulated so far in 2026 stands at a mere 16.8%, while the year-on-year figure plummeted to 33.5%, deepening the downward trend that began in April.
