The story of a lost jersey turned into an emotional episode for the Russo family. Agustín Eugui, a rural producer from the Soriano department (Uruguay), found the tribute jersey to Miguel Ángel Russo in one of the fields where he works, and decided to do everything possible to return it to the person who should have it: his son Ignacio Russo.
The gesture wouldn't have been possible without an unexpected intermediary. Edinson Cavani, Uruguayan forward and current player for Boca, acted as a bridge between Eugui and Ignacio. Thanks to that contact, the jersey finally reached its destination, unleashing a commotion that's hard to describe.
"Sorry I can't speak, it's very powerful because it's a sign of life that's still here among us. The truth is that when he gave it to me, I got goosebumps, and when he found it, too. I wanted to see it and I wanted to have it. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your gesture, and you too, Edi, for reaching out," said Nacho Russo in an interview with Canal de Boca, visibly moved by the reunion with such a special object.
