Trump manages to make fuel prices in the U.S. the lowest since 2020.

After four years of Biden, during which fuel prices continued to rise, Trump's return to the White House has brought economic relief to Americans

In just seven months of administration, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, has managed to bring fuel prices down to the same level where he left them when his first term ended in 2020

The specialized site GasBuddy, which monitors national hydrocarbon prices, has projected that the cost of fuel will be $3.15 per gallon, making this the cheapest summer for Americans in terms of gasoline prices since the pandemic.

Last year, when Biden was president, gasoline prices hovered around $3.29 per gallon. The contrast in fuel prices between the two administrations could not be greater when one recalls that under Biden the average price per gallon reached $3.77 in 2023.

The White House celebrates this news.

"We have had a remarkably affordable summer for travel, with incomes rising and gasoline prices falling, but there are still some challenges: hurricane season and uncertainty about trade, tariffs, and Russia's war against Ukraine," commented Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.

Despite these warnings, the cited analyst remained optimistic and pointed to the arrival of colder weather in the country, which will cause fuel prices to cool seasonally as well.

Meanwhile, the White House has celebrated this news as further proof of the economic success the Trump administration is achieving. "From Memorial Day to Labor Day, Americans have saved a lot of money at the gas station throughout the summer with the lowest gasoline prices in five years," declared Taylor Rogers, White House spokesperson.

The official spokesperson's statement adds that "President Trump promised to boost American energy and make everyday life more affordable for families, and he delivered."
