Kirchnerist mayor Federico Otermín justified the attack on Javier Milei

The municipal chief also lied and said that 'there were many people insulting' and many people 'angry'

After the terrorist attack suffered by President Javier Milei during a caravan in Lomas de Zamora, the Kirchnerist mayor Federico Otermín justified the attack: "Did you expect people to greet you?".

In a live interview with Infobae, the municipal chief claimed to "not know" the person who threw the huge rock at the presidential vehicle and warned about the "growing tension" in his district, even though only Kirchnerists are generating violent incidents.

"I made a statement this morning because I was concerned that the idea of a caravan had been spread and that there were many people in Lomas who were angry and willing to protest in Plaza de Lomas," he said, in an attempt to downplay the incident.

The mayor also emphasized the "social unrest" he perceives in the district. "There are many people who are angry about a lot of situations caused by the Government," he stated. In that sense, he falsely claimed that dissatisfaction with the national administration is evident: "If the polls are unfavorable for them, it's because they know that support is not the majority," he lied.

The mayor of Lomas de Zamora described the security operation deployed during Javier Milei's caravan as "unusual" for the area and questioned its effects on the daily lives of residents, who turned out in large numbers to happily welcome the Argentine president.

Regarding the organization and magnitude of the deployment, Otermín explained that both the Buenos Aires Ministry of Security and the Military House were involved, given Milei's presidential status, even though it was a campaign event. "Even though it's a campaign event, he's the President and there are protocols that must be followed," he stated, although hardly any Buenos Aires police officers were seen in the area.

Regarding the atmosphere on the street during the passage of the presidential caravan, Otermín lied by claiming that "there were many people shouting insults" and justified the attack on Milei. "I don't know what they expected, for people to greet them and for residents to approach and say hello as they passed by. I really don't understand it," he said.
