Trump deployed the Texas National Guard to restore order in Oregon and Illinois.

President Donald Trump's administration has sent Texas National Guard troops to the states of Oregon and Illinois to restore order amid a series of attacks against ICE personnel by far-left groups.

Illinois Governor JB Pritzker announced Sunday night that National Guard members were preparing to arrive in Chicago. The ultra-Democrat replied to this deployment by filing a lawsuit against the federal government and calling this order "an invasion."

A total of about 400 troops will be sent by the Department of Defense to the conflict zones. This deployment has the full support of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who wrote on X that he was "fully authorizing the president to activate 400 members of the Texas National Guard in order to ensure the safety of federal officials."

Attacks against ICE in these states

Attacks against ICE personnel have been reported in the Democratic states where Trump is intervening and conducting raids to capture illegal immigrants. The latest assault occurred on Saturday morning, when officers were rammed by vehicles and cornered by 10 cars in the city of Broadview, Illinois.

The agents were trapped and had to exit their vehicle, encountering one of the drivers who had rammed them. The officers noticed that the striker was armed with a semiautomatic weapon, which forced them to fire in self-defense. An account of the incident was published on X by Tricia McLaughlin, an official from the Department of Homeland Security.

The striker was later identified as Marimar Martínez, who appeared in one of the federal intelligence reports produced last week due to doxxing activity targeting federal law enforcement.

On September 8, in an effort to capture illegal immigrants moving through Democrat-dominated cities who believe they're protected by these municipal laws, the Trump administration launched Operation "Midway Blitz", which has resulted in over 1,000 arrests so far.
