The president of the United States, Donald Trump, expressed his support this Wednesday for filing charges against Democratic magnate George Soros and his son, Alexander Soros, for financing the violent protests by left-wing activists that have taken place in the country in recent days.
In a post on the social network Truth Social, the president accused Soros and "his group of psychopaths" of causing great harm to the country, adding that his administration won't allow "these lunatics to destroy the United States."
"George Soros and his radical leftist son should be charged under the RICO Act for their support of violent protests, and much more, across the United States," Trump wrote, referring to the federal law that establishes penalties for criminal acts carried out by criminal organizations.

The Open Society Foundation of George and Alex Soros has financed the organization of protests carried out by violent left-wing activists against the immigration order. Another group, Human Rights First, which sued the Trump administration along with two other organizations on behalf of the rights of undocumented immigrants with deportation orders, received about 6 million dollars from Soros's checkbook in the period between 2016 and 2021.
The financial empire of the Democratic billionaire has also channeled 15 million dollars to groups behind the protests against the state of Israel and in defense of the terrorist group Hamas.
Open Society has delivered these million-dollar donations through the Tides Center, a left-wing group that sponsors several organizations that have justified the terrorist attack of October 7, 2023, perpetrated by Palestinian terrorism.
