U.S. President, Donald Trump, concluded his state visit to the United Kingdom on Thursday with a bilateral meeting at the Chequers residence, on the outskirts of London, alongside British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The meeting, framed by a display of historical and diplomatic symbols, was accompanied by an announcement of U.S. investments totaling 150 billion pounds (about 173 billion euros), the highest figure ever reached during a presidential trip to this country.
The day began with the official farewell from King Charles III at Windsor Castle, where Trump had been honored with a state banquet, a troop review, and a visit to Queen Elizabeth II's tomb. After that, the president traveled by Marine One helicopter to Chequers, where he was received by Starmer and his wife Victoria, in an event filled with symbols of Anglo-American fraternity.

During the meeting, Downing Street announced a package of investment projects to be deployed in sectors such as clean energy, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, and artificial intelligence. Among the most notable commitments are:
Blackstone, which will invest 100 billion pounds in infrastructure and real estate over the next decade.
Prologis, with a 3.9 billion pound plan to expand the Cambridge biomedical campus and modernize the Daventry dry port.
Palantir, which will allocate 1.5 billion pounds to the military sector.
Amentum, with projects worth 150 million pounds that will generate more than 3,000 skilled jobs.
Boeing, which will carry out the conversion of two 737 aircraft for the U.S. Air Force in Birmingham, the first operation of its kind in the United Kingdom in half a century.
In addition, the signing of the Technological Prosperity Agreement was confirmed, which will mobilize more than 31 billion pounds in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and nuclear energy with the participation of giants such as Microsoft, Google, and Nvidia.
Reciprocal cooperation between London and Washington
The British government emphasized that the benefits are mutual: British companies such as GSK, BP, Sage, and Revolut announced investments in the United States totaling more than 33 billion pounds, consolidating the strategic partnership in both directions.
Trump highlighted during the visit that the relationship between both countries is an "eternal and unbreakable bond", while Starmer described the investment package as a "historic leap" for the British economy and transatlantic cooperation.
With this visit, Trump's second to the United Kingdom after the one in 2019, a stage marked by economic, technological, and security alliance is sealed, reinforcing the status of Washington and London as global strategic partners.
