Trump threatened to arrest Mamdani, the extremist Islamist candidate from New York
The far-left candidate had stated that he would not allow ICE to operate in the city
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, issued a stern warning against the Islamic extremist candidate for New York City mayor, Zohran Mamdani, by suggesting that he could be arrested for his proposals regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
During a press conference, Trump was asked about Mamdani's stance, who stated that he would not allow illegal immigrant deportation operations carried out by ICE in the city to take place.
"We'll have to arrest him," Trump said. "We don't need a communist in this country, but if we have one, I'll watch him very closely for the good of the nation," he added.

The president also mentioned the financial support the city receives. "We send them money, we send them everything they need to run a government," Trump said, referring to the federal support received by the local government, and threatened to cut federal funding allocated to New York City.
"We're going to be watching this very closely, and a lot of people say he's here illegally. We're going to look into everything and, ideally, he'll turn out to be much less than a communist, but right now he's a communist, not a socialist," Trump stated.
Mamdani, born in Uganda to a family of Indian origin, obtained U.S. citizenship in 2018. He is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, a far-left political group known for antisemitism and hatred toward Israel.

In contrast, Trump praised the current mayor of New York City, Eric Adams, who will face Mamdani in the general elections in November. "Mayor Adams is a very good person. I helped him a little; he had a problem and felt unfairly hurt by this matter," Trump said, regarding the corruption allegations Adams faced.
Zohran Mamdani became known after winning the Democratic Party primaries in New York. He is a communist and Islamic extremist candidate. According to his promises, he will seek to expropriate supermarkets in the city, impose a rent law, favor criminals, and increase taxes on wealthy "white" citizens.
Recently, Jewish organizations in the city urged Jews to leave New York before Mamdani wins the elections, fearing the antisemitism and support for Islamic extremism of the Democratic candidate.
